And That’s a Wrap
As 2021 comes to a close and we ring in the New Year, we wanted to take a moment to thank our customers and colleagues around the world for their loyalty and, many times, their friendship.
2020 and 2021 were both tough years for the global history books. High hopes abound at the end of last year, but as the resurgence and variants of COVID continue to make the headlines, those high hopes took a back seat. While much can and has been said, we also know that with tough times comes the good, and the opportunities that we didn’t see possible even a year ago.
Our work was recognized by two different organizations in the latter part of this year. The first recognition came from Army Technology with the inaugural launch of its Excellence Awards where, out of 1,268 global products submitted, Advanced Detection Technology ranked in the top 11 within the product launch category. We found ourselves in good company with the likes of General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, among other innovative companies.
The second organization to recognize Advanced Detection’s innovation and dedication to homeland security was American Security Today (AST), where we were the recipient of AST’s Platinum Award for the fifth year in a row. This year’s award was for our LowCam® VI100 system, the first-ever, battery-powered under vehicle inspection system (UVIS) that’s neatly packed in a smart backpack. The LowCam® VI100 system is the only UVIS that is free of cables and cords, yet still offers military-grade toughness and UHD clarity.
In addition to being recognized for our past accomplishments, we’ve been working hard during this “lockdown” period on ways to continue helping governments, corporations and military installations around the world decrease threats of terrorism, drugs and weapons smuggling 24/7 by increasing entry point security. We have a few things up our sleeve that will help further discriminate between a potential threat and a real problem, giving security personnel the most amount of time possible to respond via automated detection. Not only are our under vehicle images the clearest in the industry, our focus is also clear. We will continue to bring the industry and our customers the best possible product, clearest image, with the latest technologies, to continue protecting people and property wherever they gather.
