Security Leader Advanced Detection Technology Awarded U.S. Army Contract

Maiden, NC - Advanced Detection Technology, a leading Under Vehicle Inspection Systems (UVIS) and access control manufacturer, announced that it will supply the U.S. Army at Camp Arifjan with ten LowCam® under vehicle surveillance systems. Camp Arifjan is a new prepositioning facility currently under construction in Kuwait.

“The United States military has been a loyal customer of our LowCam Under Vehicle Inspection Systems since 2003,” said Dale Hiatt, President of Advanced Detection. “We are honored to have a continuing role in protecting U.S. military assets – both human and physical.”

Located south of Kuwait City, Camp Arifjan will replace Camp Doha, a former industrial warehouse complex. The base will provide permanent support facilities in support of the U.S. Army’s three major missions in Kuwait: to maintain prepositioned equipment, supplies and materials; conduct joint exercises with Kuwait armed forces; and to ensure the overall security of Kuwait. The LowCam UVIS will allow the guards at Camp Arifjan to conduct vehicle inspections from a safe, stand-off location. Camp Arifjan’s UVIS systems will also be enhanced with Advanced Detection’s Scene Camera video surveillance and automatic License Plate Recognition (LPR) software to ensure the safety of all involved.
