IP67 Rating - What Is It And Why You Want It

The Ingress Protection Rating, known as IP Rating, consists of a series of stringent tests that certify a product’s ability to withstand being exposed to solids or liquids. The IP rating system’s numbers represent the rating for each of the outside elements being tested: solid particles and water.

Advanced Detection Technology, LLC, the global leader in under vehicle inspection systems (UVIS), is proud to have achieved an IP67 rating for the entire suite of LowCam® solutions.

An IP67 rating indicates that the LowCam is dust tight and can withstand full water immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 3.2 feet (1 meter) of water and still function properly. With an IP67 rating, security professionals who choose LowCam can feel confident that their under vehicle surveillance system (UVSS) is held to a standard that they can trust.
