The LowCam VI100 is your one-stop shop to deploying an improvised security checkpoint. The system comes complete with one ramp, battery, tablet and carrying case. Note that if your needs require a second tablet for training purposes or you want to have a person stationed on either side of the vehicle, you may purchase an additional tablet which will have the software pre-loaded so both tablets are looking at the same undercarriage image.

The battery can typically last between four and six hours. If your events include high volumes of traffic at a security checkpoint or if the event spans longer than four hours, we suggest purchasing an extra battery to have on hand. The LowCam VI100 system has been strenuously tested to handle vehicle loads up to 40,000 pounds per axle. In fact, our equipment has withstood a tank payload cross over our systems without incurring any structural issues.

Yes. Our LowCam system’s inspection camera is equipped with numerous LEDs which light the underside of the vehicle in both bright- or low-light settings. The image is unambiguous and provides side-to-side daylight, ultra-high definition, and 15X zoom capabilities.

Due to the use of real-time technology, you can see the vehicle instantaneously as it drives over the LowCam UVIS system. In other words, there’s no delay due to the UVIS system itself. The length of time you spend on each vehicle is defined by your perimeter security procedures and protocols. Best of all, at any point during the inspection, you can choose to review, zoom in on the screen image, or swipe left or right between vehicles. It’s as intuitive as using a smart phone. 

The simple answer: Wireless gives you the ability to move around freely with your tablet.

The technical answer: The server requires the tablet to register the client name, client password, machine name and mother board ID in order for the tablet and server to communicate. From there, the wireless network is encrypted and the SSID is hidden. The WiFi network is not broadcasted, which means it’s not visible without knowing the specific connection name. If someone was able to connect to the WiFi, the ramp would not allow connections to any unauthorized machines by checking several credentials and hardware-level IDs. In addition, the LowCam VI100 uses an AC1200 Wireless Long-Range Router to securely transfer the ramp data to the tablet. And to secure the data, WPA2/AES encryption is used, which is approved by the U.S. government for encrypting data that is considered top secret. 

Our LowCam equipment is found throughout the world and can withstand extreme cold, hot, dry and humid climates. 

Yes. Magnetic detection is offered on the LowCam VI100. This means that if a device is attached by use of a magnet, the system will automatically detect the anomaly, and will 1) sound an alarm and 2) show the image on screen. 

We pride ourselves on making the LowCam VI100 system incredibly user-friendly. In fact, the interface is as intuitive as a smart phone. Online training is also available to ensure you’re up to speed in no time.

While the LowCam VI100 system is low maintenance, we suggest you clean the camera lens or remove debris such as leaves or dust with a simple rag when needed. 

All of our products come standard with a one-year manufacturer’s defect warranty at no additional cost, from original invoice date. Extended warranties are available. Shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer.
